My Irish Castle at Sunrise #NaPoWriMo (11)

AND THE ASSIGNMENT IS:  write a poem in which you closely describe an object or place, and then end with a much more abstract line that does not seemingly have anything to do with that object or place, but which, of course, really does.

============================================================================

The sun sleepily creeps up the distance, uncertain if it should wake —
Me; and my sweet-dreaming lady, whom all the blankets did take.
As soft, lapping waters move inward, marking the turn of the tide;
And glowing colours of morning warm the pale blue sky!
Birds in flight, in sheer delight, their Happiness hard to keep —
Inside; as they sing, all the Day hath to bring; it’s hard to stay asleep.
The Tranquility is so addicting, no rush, no clock, no phone!
Then I wake up at my work desk and very much alone.
